BTR radio testing results
SKYPE
1) calling in to the show – worked great
2) Conferencing a Skype user into the show
3) Conferencing in a Skype out call into the show.
Conferencing did NOT work because I called directly into my BTR number instead of starting a conference call with BTR as the first number. I test the feature of skype after the show and it worked great. I was able to conference in both Skype users and regular phone numbers.
BLUETOOTH – I’ll be comparing the difference between using a Bluetooth headset and a standard PC headset. Headset volume was good. The quality was a little tinny compared to the PC headset but definitely useabel.
LOCAL PLAYLIST – I’ll be testing the ability to play mp3 audio that I have on a local hard disc.
Worked great! Volume and quality. Ofcourse I had to switch my recording device from mic to stereo mix.
SWITCHBOARDS – I’ll attempt to have my switchboard open on two machines. No problem having my switchboard open on two systems.
CHATROOM – I’ll text logging in and out of the chat room to simulate a lost connection.
Had the chat room open on two machines. I was logged as the same person on both. It only counted me as one user. I could type messages from either machine.
CALLING IN – I’ll test dropping my call into the show and dialing in again to simulate losing my phone connection. Re-calling after the phone line was dropped took about 10 seconds and worked fine.
